Inside passage program
Our Inside Passage Program is offered five days a week as a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This is a critical service for our Alaska communities. There are limited residential or hospital services for addiction or co-occurring disorders in our state. Inside Passage provides the daily structure that is essential for making healthy, lasting change, and it provides a seamless transition for patients who are leaving residential treatment and are transitioning back into their daily routines at home and in the community.
Inside Passage is a great choice for those who don’t need the level of care that hospitalization delivers and for people who want highly cost-effective care, with the least disruption to their daily lives. Part of the Inside Passage experience is meeting with your care team and putting the focus on your individual concerns. Our Call to Growth Provider panel allows the person to directly participates as a member of the team. Inside Passage is a variable length of stay and includes careful review of a person's progress and a gradual stepping down to less intense care as the person becomes ready. This program is medically supervised and includes screening for and referral to our Office Based Opioid Treatment for persons with opioid use problems, who meet medical criteria for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Entrance to Inside Passage includes a medical screening and each person will receive regular medical and psychiatric consultations and coaching regarding any needed follow-up.
